All training material is taught from a Christian perspective with guided prayers, journal prompts & intentional steps for inviting God into the process so that everything you're building is in alignment with God's will for His Just Mission.

During our 3 months together, you will:

  • Clarify your win in cross-cultural partnership so that you finally know what your ask is and, what to offer them (that they've been scared to ask from you and don't trust to do so yet), how to contextualize it & how to market it effectively

  • Connect with and start a listening project with the diaspora community around your idea in the first 90 days of the program.

  • Design a highly collaborative missional strategy that centers the felt need of the community you're reaching, captures your strengths, aligns with God’s direction for your organization & your dream mutual partner.

  • Launch a cohesive marketing, messaging & collaborating system that is designed to consistently grow your audience, attract new partners & grow your ministry.

  • Gain a lifetime network of dynamic diaspora leaders from the global south without the power dynamics and pressure added by being a financial giver.

How It's structured

Phase One: Identify

Any leader that is not aware of his/her biases, blindspots and limitations is doomed to fail. This phase is designed to help you develop Self-awareness when it comes to how you relate to your partners around the world. What is your role and God's role in this and what do you represent, what causes the blindspots and what limitations do you have.

Phase Two: Connect

Once you Identify your role This not only produces empathy but opens the door for mutuality as you recognize the other being a subject matter expert in your and move towards learning from and creating space for perspectives that may not even favor yours. Once the Power dynamics start to break, you'll start connecting with leaders in new ways and move into a creative and collaborative partnership.

Phase Three: Collaborate

This is where you start removing impediments that have kept you from being a mutual partner and hindered you to be a true servant leader. We will work on a strategy that will allow you to remain a key player while allowing local and indigenous leaders run with what they know is the best solution for their context and community.

Phase Four: Experience

We test everything by getting feedback from the different experience of stake holders, we reiterate and test again. But we also see the world through their eyes by a specially designed trip that only a Just Missions Ambassador gets to take. You'll get invitation to my exclusive "Through My Eyes" Trip to Ethiopia where we put into practice what we've worked on for the past three months.

If you you desire to have an equally mutual partnership with your cross cultural leadership, you have probably wondered how you can move from being the dominant voice towards tapping into the wisdom and leadership of indigenous voices.

The Just Missions Mastermind will help you build the foundations for a mutually reciprocated partnership and build a collaborative strategy to work with local leaders while you pursue the mission God called you to accomplish around the world.

This experience is created with the vision of giving you all you need so you can become the best ally and supporter of the vibrant movement of global missions so beautifully carried out by diaspora leaders. Without creating an equitable and culturally inclusive organizational structure all your strategies will fall on deaf ears. Or better yet, they will be welcomed with open arms and will be filed away as soon as you come back home. You need the tools to create something that is felt, needed, transferrable and tested to be a cultural solution not a sore spot. â€‹

Join me for the next three months as we explore all the ways you can move from being a strategist, a visionary, a supplier of resources to a fellow partner, dreamer, worker and friend to indigenous leaders who desire a true mutual partnership that favors and supports their leadership style and measure success in their cultural context.

Meet Your Coach

Hello there, I'm so excited that you're here!
I'm Mekdes an executive coach in the areas of equitable and culturally-appropriate organizational leadership, specific to missiology. I am a Certified Cultural Intelligence Coach (CQ) and  a master of Organizational Leadership and I am a lover of everything fair and Just that God represents in his beautifully diverse creation.

When I was 19 I said yes to God's call to follow him across the ocean and moved to the U.S. from Ethiopia. After 15+years of cross-cultural ministry developing Discipleship and Outreach strategies in evangelical churches and non-profits, I grew impatient with the lack of true mutuality and respect for leadership of those from global south. I knew it was vital to break the cycle of harmful physical and spiritual  impact of missions locally and globally in order to elevate the voices of the unheard, and truly unshackle God's sent workers to spread the gospel around the globe. As a Coach with an agile theory training, I am actively building a platform intentionally designed to break power dynamics and train western missions organizations with a fresh look at missions for a reciprocal global impact.

I am eager to work with you, to be able to give you an insight into the ways global south leaders wish western missions leaders knew and equip you with tools necessary for a thriving intercultural mission. I will challenge you to remove impediments that you or your organization intentionally or unintentionally have placed.

The way forward is together but before we get there we have to work on our self-awareness, empathy, other-centeredness and understand which power dynamics are at play in our attempt to build mutual partnerships.

Book a 20 minute free Discovery Call with me today so we can get started on this wonderful journey.

"Mekdes' voice is invaluable at this time in history. She leads from a unique perspective and is bold enough to challenge weaknesses within the evangelical church that have been long overlooked. She is a bridge between divided cultures in the U.S. and is able to unite peoples together. I have greatly benefited from her leadership and look forward to her work in the future."
